EXCITEMENT is growing over the emerging new Bewsey and Dallam hub.
The leisure centre and community facility is being built on Longshaw Street, opposite the existing playing fields and next to a children's play area.
The steel is now in place with panels added to give an idea of the scale of the building work.
When finished in late summer/early autumn, it will include a small learner swimming pool, library services and ICT provision.
Users will also benefit from a studio/multi-activity space providing opportunities for community use and group fitness classes as well as a dedicated fitness suite with a selection of the latest equipment.

There will also be community rooms.
LiveWire, who will run the hub, will operate lifestyle services including weight loss programmes, smoking cessation, getting back into exercise, healthy walks and cancer rehabilitation.
The hub, like the Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub, has been designed with dementia-friendly provision to tackle the current ageing population.
