Llanidloes Town Council are looking for two people who have a passion for Llanidloes and its community with a commitment to attend various meetings to make their voice heard.

There are two town councillor vacancies for the Hafren and Clywedog wards. It follows the resignations of former mayor Phyl Davies and Aled Griffiths.

The ‘casual vacancy’ was recently advertised but no election has been called so it falls to the Town Council to select a new member. This is known as co-option.

Applicants must be over 18 years of age; a British, Commonwealth, Irish or EU citizen; a Llanidloes elector or have worked in the area for the preceding 12 months; or have occupied land or other premises as owner or tenant, or lived in the town or within 4.8 kilometres of Llanidloes during the same period.
