A STOCKTON Heath gin specialist says the G&T craze is here to stay after expanding her business with a mobile bar.

Danielle Westwood launched Gin Alley (formerly Gin Lane) in London Road in late 2018

Now the Lymm entrepreneur’s small-batch gin specialist can be found at festivals after transforming a horse box called Lagertha into a mini boutique version of the bar.

She worked with Wirral’s Bespoke Conversions to come up with the design which borrowed elements from her micro bar such as rustic and industrial decor, soft mood lighting and copper features.

Danielle said: “After visiting many festivals and outside events over the years and being served a product that lacked love and attention, we saw an opportunity to take the successful Gin Alley experience further afield.

“We pride ourselves in offering a great quality product from a quirky converted horse box.”

Warrington Guardian:

Despite being in a tiny unit, all the Gin Alley signature touches like perfect serves with fruit garnishes will be present and correct, alongside handpicked small-batch gin brands.

Mum-of-two Danielle added: “It’s the little touches that make the big difference and we do not believe this should be any different for festivals.

“We will not have a vast array of choice in the horse box due to space restrictions so we will instead use our knowledge to have three different gins at each event – a traditional London dry gin, a pink, which is a firm favourite, and a flavoured gin.

“We will rotate these gins at events, incorporating the small batch gin brands we offer in the bar. We are also in the exciting process of developing our own gin brand.”

Meanwhile, Danielle and her team of 10 are still going strong in Stockton Heath in the former Bridgfords unit.

She said: “We have established a strong, thriving customer base within the village where our customers enjoy a fine selection of drinks and live music each week.

“We have made adjustments throughout the year such as doubling our ‘Gin Club’ offering on the menu to include more of the firm customer favourite gins at a discounted price.

“Gin Alley has also hosted many private parties where groups have the full exclusivity of the bar.

“We believe the gin craze is still in full swing, customers are enjoying the benefits of gin with an array of choice constantly on offer and it’s a low calorie option in todays health conscious world.”
