LYMM Jubilee Women's Institute (WI) has raised almost £400 to help adults with autism.

Gill Beckett, president of Lymm Jubilee WI, presented a cheque for £395 to Creating Adventures, a Birchwood-based charity set up to enrich the lives of adults with autism and learning disabilities.

The funds were raised over the year from selling handmade goods at Lymm Jubilee WI’s Trading Table, as well as from the proceeds of two raffles.

Gill said: "The amount raised was phenomenal and it gave me great pleasure, on behalf of members, to present the cheque to the charity.

"Thank you to all of the ladies who have contributed to raising this amount and for the support of the membership."
