WARRINGTON Wolves skipper Chris Hill will miss the next three matches following his red card against Wigan Warriors.

The Match Review Panel have served the Wire and England prop with a three-match penalty notice after viewing the 23rd-minute high tackle on hooker Sam Powell in Thursday's clash with Wigan Warriors at the DW Stadium.

In the notes confirming the Grade C charge, the panel members remarked: "Tried to tackle but reckless about outcome".

Hill will sit out games at home to St Helens on Thursday, away to Wakefield Trinity on February 16 and at home to Toronto Wolfpack on February 21.

The next game he would be available for would be Leeds Rhinos away on February 28.

Head coach Steve Price has confirmed The Wire will not be appealing the decision.

No other charges were issued from incidents in the game.

A 29th-minute incident in which Wire stand-off Blake Austin alleged a facial gouge by Wigan forward Morgan Smithies was placed on report.

The panel outcome states: "Player’s hand is in the vicinity of opponent’s face in the tackle. Any contact to opponent’s eye area or gouging motion inconclusive on footage. Club submits no additional information to assist."
