A 27-YEAR-old woman has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with the murder of Alison McBlain.
Karis Poynton, of Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors, was also charged with the attempted murder of Christian Rivers.
Both charges arise out of a hit-and-run incident on Whalley Banks at 7.45 pm on November 19.
Miss McBlain, 36, died two days later from the injuries she sustained.
Christian Rivers, 26, also suffered serious injuries as he and Miss McBlain walked on the pavement.
Four other people have already been charged in connection with the incident and all five will appear at Preston Crown Court on Thursday.
