HAVE your opinions heard on health and social care priorities in Warrington this year.

Healthwatch Warrington are an independent organisation set up to champion the views of patients and social care service users, with the goal of making services better and improving health and wellbeing.

This year patient views will decide the priorities that Healthwatch Warrington will focus on for 2020 as part of the Healthwatch National campaign of #Speakup2020.

Through intelligence and feedback the following areas have been identified as possible priorities: long term health conditions, respite care, prescriptions, young carers, domiciliary care, frailty prevention and opticians.

Healthwatch Warrington want the public to decide what they think are the most pressing issues for residents.

A priority workshop will be held at the Gateway on Sankey Street on Wednesday, January 29 from 1pm until 2.30pm when a presentation will be made explaining the priorities, attendees will then be asked to vote on their top two.

Voting is available for people unable to attend on Healthwatch Warrington’s website www.healthwatchwarrington.co.uk/priorities

Last year their main focuses were on mental health and maternity services in Warrington and reports on their findings can be found on their website.

Clare Screeton, community outreach lead of Healthwatch Warrington, said: “Here at Healthwatch Warrington we realise the importance of the public involvement for deciding our priorities for 2020.

"Healthwatch Warrington strives to be the voice of the people when it comes to health and social care services.”
