LIVEWIRE is inspiring residents to become members and get active this year with a new promotional video.

Warrington’s leisure, libraries and lifestyle services provider highlighted some of the facilities, classes and benefits of LiveWire in the high energy video.

It was created by Studio 24-7 with the Hartford-based business gathering and editing footage in the run-up to Christmas.

Their aim was to create a real and genuine vibe to the shots using pre-existing members of LiveWire to resonate with viewers.

LiveWire member Joan Jenkins, 74, features in the video.

She said: “I was quite proud to see the video.

"I have had a lot of nice comments from family and friends, including my two six-year-old great grandchildren.

“I love the discipline and feeling of achievement at learning new exercises and also love the social side of it - I have made a lot of nice friends including the Woolston Neighbourhood Hub staff who are always helpful.

"If I can do it at 74 anyone can. It’s good fun!”

Director of the video, Josh Edwards, added: "We didn’t want air brushed, perfect models - we wanted real people that represented all kinds of demographics – a real cross section of Warrington.

"It’s been one of our favourite projects to work on to-date and all of the staff at LiveWire were so helpful and enthusiastic throughout filming.

"Along with the volunteers who took part it was a real team effort and we’re looking forward to building on our relationship with LiveWire moving forward."
