A MAN has been charged with assaulting two emergency workers who were trying to treat him.

An ambulance was called to Winwick Street at 4pm yesterday, Monday to a request of assistance.

Derek Hill, of Pendlebury Street in Latchford, is accused of assaulting a paramedic in the back of an ambulance while being treated.

Police were called to the scene opposite Warrington Central Station.
