A MAN has been charged with assaulting two emergency workers who were trying to treat him.
An ambulance was called to Winwick Street at 4pm yesterday, Monday to a request of assistance.
Derek Hill, of Pendlebury Street in Latchford, is accused of assaulting a paramedic in the back of an ambulance while being treated.
Police were called to the scene opposite Warrington Central Station.
It is alleged that 54-year-old Hill then spat in a police officer's face.
He is due to appear in Warrington Magistrates' Court today, Tuesday.
