WARRINGTON Wolves have made a generous donation to a fund set up to support Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow in his fight against motor neurone disease.

News of Burrow's diagnosis was met with an outpouring of support from the rugby league family and beyond, with tens of thousands of pounds donated to support the former England man and his family.

The Wire have donated £5,000 to Burrow's cause with the following message.

Many fans took to Twitter to thank the club and said the donation was 'class'.

Another fan joked: "There’s going to be nobody left to hate in RL at this rate.

"Joking aside, it proves how pantomime it all is and that we are all family. Great to see."
