A NIGHTMARE first half consigned Warrington Town to a heavy pre-Christmas defeat at Morpeth Town.

Yellows were already a goal down when Bohan Dixon was shown a ninth-minute red card for an off-the-ball incident.

Carl Finnigan, Liam Henderson and Jeff Henderson added further first-half goals for the Highwaymen to go with Liam Noble's early opener as the Northumbrians ruthlessly took advantage of their vulnerable visitors.

While Yellows improved after the break, their misery was compounded when Mitch Duggan was dismissed in injury time.
