FIREFIGHTERS were called to an electrical fire in Iceland during the early hours of this morning, Monday.
Two fire engines attended the store on Crosfield Street, one from Warrington and one from Penketh
Firefighters receive the call shortly before 5am but the fire, involving a refrigerator unit, was already out on arrival.
The store was smoke logged.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus inspected the building for signs of fire.
Thy also used a large fan to clear the smoke from the store.
The electricity supply to the refrigerator unit was isolated and the firefighters then removed the unit from the store.
They were in attendance for around 50 minutes.
