TWO men have been charged with burglary after a police pursuit of a stolen car in the early hours of Friday morning.
Police spotted a Peugeot 108 with its lights out on at Prescot Park Way towards Carr Lane in Prescot at around 2.50am and officers signalled for it to pull over.
But the car failed to stop and continued for a short while before pulling over.
Three men then got out of the Peugeot and ran into a nearby field.
Officers gave chase on foot in the fields close to Coronation Drive and apprehended two men.
It was established the car had been stolen during a burglary on Dennett Road earlier in the morning.
