CHRISTMAS has come early to Chapel Lane in Wilmslow.
The street is looking very festive with a number of street light decorations and a Christmas tree.
The tree and decorations have been provided by Wilmslow Town Council to recognise the importance of Chapel Lane as one of the centres for independent shops in the town.
The idea for the decorations was put to the council by town councillor Julie Dawn Potts, who is a member of Chapel Lane Business Group.
The Christmas tree is in the town council planter on Lindow Parade, and the street also boasts Christmas tree branches on lampposts decorated with red bows.
Julie said: “The street looks gorgeous – I’m thrilled to bits.
“It’s so lovely to be able to have done something, and I’m hoping people will come along to Chapel Lane to support our great independent shops and businesses and shop local this Christmas.”
