LONG-standing leaking flat roofs have been solved following repairs at Holmes Chapel Community Centre.

Parish council admin assistant Sue McKay said: “After many years of struggling with leaks and water ingress from the flat roofs at the community centre, we have now had these roofs replaced.

“The work took place over a period of eight weeks, and we are delighted that it has now been completed.

“Final inspections took place last week, and we are really pleased to finally have this problem solved, which is a massive improvement at the site.

“We are very appreciative of the patience shown by the staff at and users of the community centre during the last few years when coping with the steady number of leaks.

“The roofs carry a 20-year guarantee, and are expected to last a lot longer than this.”
