AN ELDERLY woman was rescued from a car after a crash in Knutsford.
Firefighters were called to a collision involving one vehicle on Tabley Road at around 5pm yesterday.
Crews safely lifted the casualty to safety and she was handed into the care of paramedics and taken to hospital.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust said: "We received a call at 16.57pm. We attended with an ambulance and rapid response vehicle.
"We took a 90-year-old woman to Stepping Hill Hospital with minor injuries."
Firefighters from Knutsford and Lymm were at the scene for around an hour.
