PARAMEDICS rushed to a crash on the M6 this morning.

Two lanes of the northbound carriageway were shut due to the accident near to junction 21 at Woolston.

The collision, involving two vans, occurred at around 8am - with the North West Ambulance Service having attended the scene.

All lanes were reopened at 8.45am, but long delays remain.

Six-mile queues of around 40 minutes are currently reported back to junction 20 at Lymm.
