WE are now well into December and there is plenty of Christmas entertainment to enjoy across Warrington this weekend.

From a Christmas market to tree festival and lots of Father Christmas appearances, it will be a packed weekend.

St Mary’s Church in Lymm has 43 trees to enjoy from Friday to Sunday

There is also plenty of live music as well as the dozens of trees to look at throughout the day.

POP-UP FESTIVE STREET MARKET > WARRINGTON TOWN CENTRE

Warrington Guardian:

Some 60 stalls will be dotted around Time Square, Buttermarket Street and Market Gate on Saturday and Sunday.

Watch out for carol singers, live music and street performers.

FESTIVE FAMILY FUN WEEKEND > BENTS, GLAZEBURY

On Saturday and Sunday Father Christmas will be there at the Glazebury garden centre with his reindeer and they will be joined by acrobatic elves jumping in on the action.

Bents’ forest of freshly cut trees will lead to a children’s entertainment area with fairground rides and reindeer treasure hunt. Meanwhile, grown-ups can enjoy a glass of hot punch and a mince pie

Starting on Saturday and running weekends until December 22, the Santa’s Grotto will be open from 10.30am until 4.30pm every Saturday and Sunday.

Special openings for those with autism will take place on Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 22 from 9.30am to 10.30am and this can be booked online.

It will cost £7.50 per child and includes a present and a trip around the garden’s reindeer trail with reindeer food provided. Other activities to take part in include crafts, live music, entertainment, face painting and fairground rides.
