TWO women have been fined after admitting obstructing police officers over a stabbing in Bewsey.
Bradley Johnson, 22, was stabbed in the stomach outside Tina’s Mini Market on Longshaw Street on the morning of Monday, October 28.
Suspect Clint Baker, from Manchester, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in the loft of 19-year-old Bethany Woods’ home on Alder Crescent in Orford.
A ‘large amount’ of class A drugs, worth up to £12,000, was also found in a bag in the attic.
When police attended the address, teenager Woods and 26-year-old co-defendant Leah Holzman, of Hillock Lane in Woolston, were present.
They both denied that anyone else was present in the house when quizzed.
On Friday, November 15, the pair both pleaded guilty to obstructing a police officer at Warrington Magistrates Court in connection with the incident.
Each of the women were fined £120 and told to pay court costs of £85 plus a victim surcharge.
Baker, 25, denies assault occasioning actual bodily harm, possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of a bladed article.
He is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court next week in order to face these charges.
Mr Johnson was rushed to Aintree Hospital after being found with stab wounds to his stomach and abdomen.
Parts of neighbouring Lilford Avenue were also cordoned off in the aftermath of the incident last month.
