PRIMARY school pupils put their teachers in the stocks and babies tried their hand at baking as the town marked Children in Need.

Fundraising activities were held across Warrington on Friday, November 15, as part of the charity's annual telethon.

At St Stephen's Catholic Primary School in Orford, teachers were put in the stocks and youngsters had the chance to throw wet sponges at them.

Pupil Molly McGowan also arranged a bake sale.

The 10-year-old raises hundreds of pounds for Children in Need every year by organising fundraisers, with this being her last year at St Stephen's.

And little Alannah Pell, who turns one in January, also got involved in the fun – baking cakes for Children in Need with grandma Christine Tolley.

Meanwhile, Summer Worrall from Great Sankey was featured in the BBC's television coverage.

The eight-year-old has been putting on fundraisers for the charity since she was four, and this year raised £700 with a Halloween disco at Eagle Sports and Social Club in Penketh and by selling hotdogs at the Pear Tree Inn pub in Burtonwood's Bonfire Night fireworks display.
