ACCLAIMED Scottish-Italian chef Nico Simeone has launched his brand new restaurant Six by Nico in Merseyside.

Chef Nico and his team will reinvent their food offering every six weeks, serving a brand new six-course tasting menu with each themed around a different place, memory or idea.

Foodies will be able to enjoy the six course treats at the new, 90 cover restaurant on North John Street based at the former La Vina site - its first concept themed around the local chip shop.

Wirral Globe:

Chef Nico said: “We’re very excited to open Six by Nico to the heart of Liverpool for all who live and work in the area, as well as those visiting from further afield.

"Six by Nico is a totally different dining experience, and I hope that people will leave having had an unforgettable meal.

"Liverpool has a thriving independent restaurant scene and we are delighted to now be a part of it."

Wirral Globe:

More than 5,500 reservations have already been made in advance of doors opening today (Tuesday, November 12).

The restaurant, which has its own bar area, will showcase a menu priced at £29 per person with the wine pairing priced at an additional £26.

'The Chippie' menu is six dishes created based on the classics found in a traditional British Fish and Chip shop, each one re-imagined and re-created with a contemporary twist.

Items including chips and cheese, steak pie, fish supper and the classic deep-fried mars bar will all feature on the menu.

Wirral Globe:

This new eatery is the sixth addition to Nico's growing restaurant portfolio with award-winning venues such as '111 Nico' and 'Six by Nico' already embedded in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Manchester’s restaurant scene.
