A TWO-DAY Christmas market is coming to the town centre with around 60 stalls on both days.

The pop-up festive street market will be held in Time Square, Buttermarket Street and Market Gate on Saturday and Sunday, December 7 and 8.

The event, hosted by Warrington Market, will also feature carol singers, live music and street performers.

A spokesman for the market said: “There will be family fun with 60 stalls on each day. We want to bring festive cheer to Warrington, tying in with what else is going on in the town such as the ice rink at Golden Square.”

Along with a range of independent traders selling bespoke gift ideas, there will be the likes of mulled wine and cider, mince pies and hot food.

The spokesman added: “There will be a host of makers and creators, offering products with a festive twist, and you’ll be able to get gift sets from traders selling the likes of gin and beer.”

The open air market will run from 10am to 6pm on Saturday, December 7, and from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, December 8.

Before the Christmas pop-up, Warrington Market will also be kicking off its festive celebrations with the 'Geeky Christmas Market' on Saturday, November 30.

Merchandise and collectibles from the world of pop culture will be on sale and there will be a Star Wars theme to the event to celebrate the release of The Rise of Skywalker.

Georgia Roberts, North West General Retailer of the Year at the Young Traders' Market competition, will also be bringing her eco-friendly Sustainable Living Christmas Market to the venue on Saturday, December 14.
