FRESH from Super League Grand Final victory - followed by his wedding on the Gold Coast, Australia - Saints second row man Dom Peyroux has one more big fixture before the year is out.

He has been selected in Tony Iro's Cook Islands squad for their decisive RLWC2021 qualifying clash with USA Hawks.

The crucial fixture in Jacksonville, Florida will decide the 16th and final qualification spot available for the competition, set to kick off in England in October 2021.

With 14 nations already qualified for the tournament, Greece and Serbia will fight it out for the final European spot on November 9 before the final spot is decided in Jacksonville on November 16.

Cook Islands Kukris’ route to the final qualifying round has included beating South Africa in the previous round while the USA Hawks suffered defeat to Jamaica meaning they missed out on automatic qualification to the tournament.

Cook Islands Kukris head coach, Tony Iro added: “We are looking forward to what will be a tight contest with two nations desperate to progress to the next World Cup. All of our players are excited about the challenge of playing in the US and hope we can make the match a great spectacle for all.”
