WARRINGTON'S Patisserie Valerie has closed - just over a year after it arrived in the town.

The Golden Square store closed this morning, Tuesday.

Staff were told when they reported for work this morning, the Warrington Guardian understands.

The Warrington branch opened in August 2018.

The cafe chain went into administration in January but a number of stores, including the Warrington one, were saved after a buyout by Causeway Capital Partners in February.

However more of the stores have closed elsewhere in the country throughout the year.
