WARRINGTON Town grabbed a much-needed home victory and avoided a third consecutive defeat at Cantilever Park.

Tony Gray struck twice as Hyde United were thrashed, with the veteran striker opening and closing the scoring.

Bohan Dixon gave Town a half-time lead after Chris Sharp had levelled for the visitors, with Ben Garrity scoring the all-important third goal just before the hour mark.

The margin of victory could have been even wider for Yellows had Jack Mackreth converted his first-half penalty, but they were good value for a first home success since August.
