A BURGLAR who pinched jewellery after breaking into a house has been jailed.
Philip Sharples, from Dallam, was handed a year behind bars at Liverpool Crown Court on Thursday, October 24.
The 41-year-old burgled a house in Alderley Edge back in April – stealing a watch and a pair of earrings during the break-in.
Sharples, of Bardsley Avenue, admitted burglary, five counts of theft and assaulting an emergency services worker during an earlier hearing at Warrington Magistrates Court.
He stole a number of bottles of wine worth a total of £61.90 from the Co-op on Knutsford Road in Latchford on three days straight last month – including three thefts on one day on Sunday, September 15.
His crime spree also saw him assaulted a police officer when he was arrested on Winwick Street in the town centre on Wednesday, September 26.
