PREPARATIONS for a Christmas Party in aid of Wirral-based cerebral palsy charity Stick'n'Step are now underway.

The festive event will take place on Sunday December 1 at Devonshire House Hotel, Liverpool.

As well as all the usual party food and games, the children, as well as all their brothers and sisters, will be entertained by a DJ so will be able to take to the dance floor.

The undoubted highlight of the day for most of the children will be the arrival of a special visitor from the North Pole, with a present for every child.

Bromborough-based AHS Commercial is sponsoring the party once more, having donated £2,750 to cover the cost.

Mark Heggarty, director, AHS Commercial, said: "AHS are delighted to be sponsoring the children’s party at Stick'n'Step again this year.

"It is wonderful to see the children and their siblings in their party clothes, taking to the dance floor and having so much fun together.

"We are proud to play a part in the role that Stick 'n' Step plays in supporting families and giving children and young people the skills to become more confident, mobile and independent."

Jenny Snell, head of fundraising at Stick 'n' Step, said: "We have been bowled over once more by the generosity of our supporters.

"AHS Commercial's donation means that we can host our party at a venue big enough to accommodate not only all our children, but their brothers and sisters too, making it an even more special family occasion.

"We are all so excited and are looking forward to the day."
