WARRINGTON Wolves fans have been passing on their congratulations after powerhouse forward Sitaleki Akauola tied the knot.

The Challenge Cup winner married his partner Reanne at the weekend in a ceremony in front of friends and family before a reception at The Manor on Elizabeth Wetherill Park in Sydney.

Speaking earlier this summer, the Tonga international admitted Reanne had done most of the planning but they were both very excited for their big day.

He added: “The original plan was to have the wedding over here, but it would mean having to hire a plane and fly everyone over which would probably have been more expensive than the entire wedding.”

The couple met in a gym shortly after Akauola made the move to Warrington last year and they spent their first date in church.

Reanne had grown up in Warrington but had just come back from New Zealand and was studying to be a counsellor in the Lake District.

Akauola added: “The first thing my mum told me to do when I came over was to find myself a church, who I now call my English family, and I invited her along to check it out."

Team mates Jason Clark and Lama Tasi were among the wedding guests.
