A TEEN who was told by doctors she would never walk has run 10km to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
Robyn Harrison, from Cinnamon Brow, completed the Tatton Park 10k – raising a staggering £2,500 for charity Stick ‘n’ Step in the process.
The charity has supported the 18-year-old, who has cerebral palsy, throughout her life.
Teenager Robyn was set to take part in the 10k race at the English Half Marathon in Warrington last month, before it was cancelled at short notice.
But she and her 11-strong team instead took part in the Tatton Park event and shaved 20 minutes off their previous best time – despite Robyn pulling a muscle during the run.
Dad Lee said: “Despite the rain and Robyn’s injury, she was determined to finish what she had started and raise a fantastic sum for Stick ‘n’ Step.
“We, as always, enjoyed supporting Robyn’s favourite charity and we are already looking forward to planning our fundraising for next year.”
Since she four, Robyn has been helped Stick ‘n’ Step classes in order to help her to stand, walk and run more easily.
And she has regularly taken part in races for the charity, despite being told by specialists at a young age that she would never be able to walk.
