FIVE fire engines were called to a farm in Kenyon after a large fire broke out on Monday night.
Crews from Warrington, Lymm, Penketh and Wigan were called to the outbuilding at the farm on Winwick Lane near Croft at 9.15pm.
Fire crews say the single storey farm store was well alight when they arrived.
A spokesman said: "A water relay was set up to get enough water to the timber frame steel clad farm store and crews split the fire into four sectors, due to its size.
"Four firefighters, including two wearing breathing apparatus, extinguished the fire, each using a hose reel jet."
Gas cylinders were located and cooled and the fire was brought under control by 11.20pm.
Firefighters were at the scene for more than five hours.
An investigation into the cause of the fire has begun and will resume this morning.
Kenyon Hall Farm, the popular farm shop, was not affected by the blaze.
The large fire at a farm store in Winwick Lane, Croft, Warrington, has now been brought under control. Firefighters are currently damping the building down to make it safe and an investigation into the cause of the fire will continue in the morning.
