A RECORD-breaking amount has been raised following the ninth annual Lymm Beer Fest.

The popular two-day event raised £7,500, boosted by the main sponsorship from Warrington-based Urban Building Projects Ltd, Triathlon Battery Components, and MKM Building Supplies Warrington.

There were numerous cask ales, ciders, wines and premium gins on offer at Lymm Village Hall, along with kebabs from restaurant Grill On The Cross, baked goods from Sextons, and beer and wine provided by The Wine Kitchen.

Matt Owen, who led the festival organisation, said: "Our successful formula of great beers and the very popular gin bar run by Lymm Ladies Circle has once again gone down a storm.

"Both days were a fantastic success with customers of all ages enjoying great music and glorious sunshine.

"This year we also introduced a Lymm Beer Festival app which gave adventurous customers the chance to spin a Brewoulette wheel to choose a beer!

"I’d like to thank all our customers, sponsors, musicians, suppliers and volunteers who created such a fantastic atmosphere.

"We are already looking forward to next year's event!"
