CLIMATE change protesters will stage a ‘die-in’ at the Parr Hall this weekend.

Warrington Extinction Rebellion, a branch of the international movement calling for action on climate change, will lie down and pretend to be dead for a total of 11 minutes.

This represents one minute for each of the 11 years the United Nations has stated that the issue needs to be tackled by in order to prevent irreversible damage to the planet.

Around 30 participants are expected to be involved in the die-in.

The protest will be held at 5.30pm on Sunday, October 6, as part of the Museum of the Moon exhibition at the Parr Hall – which will see a giant model of the moon hanging from the ceiling of the famous Palmyra Square venue.
