GUESTS are welcome to step up, get hands on, and try a pit stop challenge with a difference at the Wales Rally service park in Llandudno.

B2 Business Systems, the St Asaph and Deeside based technology firm, is inviting anyone visiting the international rally teams at Llandudno Service Park between October 3 and 6 to try and beat the best of the B2 engineers in the Big Bang arena, Venue Cymru.

“The challenge encourages everyone, regardless of age, to get hands on like the professional rally pit crews whilst they visit the service park,” explains Kelly Livesey, service manager at B2.

“Instead of preparing a rally car, we’ve given this pit stop challenge a twist, bringing a typical photocopier along that we use daily in schools and offices to prepare against the clock.”

“We’re proud of the skill and responsiveness of our service teams that ensure copy and print devices across North Wales and beyond remain reliable and fit for action. The B2 Pit Stop Challenge provides a fun way for visitors to pit their skills against the pros with prizes up for grabs!”

Contenders will have to complete a series of tasks preparing the device to print much like a conventional rally pit crew prepare a car for competition. Top times will be captured on a Top Gear style leader board with the fastest pit stop challenger winning a tech goodie bag for themselves and an amazing Toshiba multi-function colour printer worth thousands of pounds for a local school or registered charity of their choice courtesy of B2 and tech partners Toshiba Tec UK.

B2 has been a technical partner for the Wales Rally for five consecutive years supplying copy and print capability and rapid response service for essential operations such as the rally office, media centre and scrutineers. But this is their debut year in the Big Bang event, joining regulars like BAE Systems, JCB, Toyota UK and Airbus.

Visitors to the B2 stand can also view an unusual tribute to rally legend Colin McRae’s Subaru Impreza in the form of a ‘pimped up’ copier and take part in a social media competition #B2PimpMyCopier to win a tech goody bag.

B2’s appetite for a challenge also features in their Great Orme rally themed high-octane video pitting B2 staff against a real-life rally car to be shown on big screens across rally venues and available to view in full on YouTube. Search for ‘B2 Great Orme challenge’.
