AN abusive shoplifter screamed at staff before walking off with pasta and a sandwich.
Police were called to Sainsbury's on Church Street at 7.15pm on Tuesday.
They received a report of an abusive shoplifter.
Onlookers reported a man with a rucksack abusing security staff and being 'extremely aggressive'.
A spokesman said: "The man had screamed at the staff and made threats before walking off with pasta and a sandwich.
"Police are investigating theft and public order offences."
