ENGINEERS are investigating after a leak left households in some parts of St Helens with no water or low pressure this morning.
United Utilities has confirmed the leak on Burrows Lane, Eccleston is affecting customers in the WA10/WA11 areas of St Helens.
A United Utilities spokesman said: "We’ve been out to investigate and found this to be the cause for some of you having no water or just a trickle.
"Our leakage engineers should be on site as soon as possible. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and hope to have your taps flowing again very soon."
At 11.05am, a spokesman added: "We’re currently on our way to repair a leak at Burrows Lane.
"We're sorry for the inconvenience, we’ll provide further updates once the repair is underway and hope to have things back to normal soon."
The incident remains ongoing.
