A PRIMARY school in Hartford is hosting its very first music festival this weekend.

Hartfest takes place at Hartford Primary School this Saturday, promising bands, a barbecue and brilliant stalls all thanks to the work of the school’s Parent and Teacher Association (PTA).

Five local bands will take to the stage at the Riddings Lane school fundraising event which runs from 12.30pm to 4pm, including The Kraken, Lostock Ukes, Container 6, Uncharted and Toyko Misfires.

Headteacher Mair Fairweather is a big fan of music festival and said she is delighted with the excitement the event is generating.

Northwich Guardian:

“The event has really gathered momentum with the support of the staff team, governors and the community and an incredibly committed and enthusiastic group of parents in the PTA who are highly visible in and around school in their Hartfest T-shirts,” she said.

“The whole Hartford Primary School team is really looking forward to hosting the very first Hartfest and hope it will be the first of many.”
