Four people have been suspected of drug-related offences after a raid in Newtown town centre last night (Thursday, Sepetember 12).
Two men, who have been taken to hospital, are suspected of conceiling drugs. At a seperate address, a man and woman were arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.
Eyewitness reported a heavy police presence in the town centre last night; with three to four police vehicles, search dogs and armed officers.
A police spokesperson said: "Dyfed-Powys Police executed a warrant under the misuse of drugs act at Market Street, Newtown, at around 5pm on Thursday, September 12.
"Two men were taken to hospital from the address, suspected of concealing drugs. A man and woman were arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs, at a separate location.
"They remain in police custody at this time. A police cordon remains in the area while searches continue at the property today (Friday, September 13)."
