POLICE chased a fleeing teenager through residents’ gardens after raiding a house in Bewsey.

Officers executed a search warrant at a property on Folly Lane at around 11am on Tuesday, September 10.

A male fled the scene, with Cheshire Police subsequently carrying out a search of the area.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a heavy police presence, with up to eight officers chasing the man through gardens on Plumtre Avenue.

The 18-year-old was then arrested in the back garden of a house on Longshaw Street on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

He has since been released by police pending further enquiries.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Police carried out a warrant at an address on Folly Lane on the morning of September 10 – a man fled the scene and a search was made of the area.

“He was located in the back garden of an address on Longshaw Street.

“An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in offering to supply cocaine and has since been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.”
