POLICE have charged three suspects after a ‘large amount’ of drugs and weapons were seized during a raid in Longford.

Officers executed a search warrant at a house on Densham Avenue at around 10.30am yesterday, Wednesday.

Four arrests were made at the scene, with class A drugs, weapons and cash recovered from the property.

And three men have since been charged with conspiracy to supply heroin and cocaine in connection with the raid.

They are 34-year-olds Kris Bamford and Khalid Elgaddari, both of Densham Avenue, and 25-year-old Ashley Rathbone, from Widnes.

The trio are due to appear before Warrington Magistrates Court tomorrow, Friday.

A 26-year-old woman, from Warrington, who was also held by police has since been released under investigation.

The raid came only days after police arrested a suspected drug dealer when heroin and crack cocaine was discovered in a car parked on the same street.

Officers made the discovery inside a silver Vauxhall Astra at around 1pm on Monday, September 9.

Forty-one-year-old Christopher Cook, from Bolton, has since been charged with possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.

He was due to appear before Warrington Magistrates Court on Tuesday, September 10.
