A PORTACABIN was destroyed by fire last night.
Firefighters spent more than three hours tackling the blaze on Barleycastle Lane in Appleton after two engines were called to the scene at around 8.15pm on Sunday.
Two gas cylinders were involved in the fire, and the temporary building was completely destroyed.
Police officers also attended the scene.

Crews also tackled a fire in a children’s play area in Callands at around 9.30pm.
One fire engine attended the incident off North Park Brook Road, with a rubber tyre having been set alight.
Firefighters were in attendance for around 15 minutes.
