A NEW fitness studio tackling self-consciousness in gyms opened its doors.

EA Fitness on Bank Quay Trading Estate runs private and small-group sessions, and says it offersan alternative to large, open-plan fitness spaces.

The venture is led by Emma Bradburn, 22, from Appleton and her boyfriend Aron Coppock, 23, a qualified personal trainer from Northwich.

Emma said: “We’re not the same as PureGym and those sorts of places.

“They want loads and loads of people there, but we found there’s a market for people who don’t want that environment.

“They don’t want loads of people looking at what they’re doing.”

Classes started last month and the centre is now running group sessions for up to around 12 people.

The first of their ‘fat loss boot camp’ classes ran on Wednesday and others will soon be available.

Anyone who attends the boot camp will receive a seven-day free pass as well as weekly body stat measurements to check their progress.

They’re also offering a free consultation and two free classes.

“We want people to come down, have a look around, see what we do and take part on a few classes. Everyone’s welcome,” Emma added.

Aron has had success with a similar centre in Middlewich, and Emma has experience in marketing, so the couple decided to open something together in her hometown.

On working with her boyfriend for the first time, the 22-year-old said: “We thought it’d be something really nice to do together, and the skills we’ve got go hand in hand.

“We both know what we want to achieve and we’re confident about what we do.”
