A PAEDOPHILE who possessed sexual explicit images of girls as young as four while in Warrington has been jailed.

Michael Seed, 38, was also sentenced for filming up a young woman's skirt.

Michael Stephenson, prosecuting in Chester Crown Court on Monday told the court how police were alerted to an address in Warrington after certain search terms were entered online.

As police entered the property to execute the warrant, Seed locked himself in the bathroom to try to delete images on his devices, for which he was charged with perverting the course of justice.

Seed's address in London was also searched where a further laptop was seized containing indecent images.

Some of the images Seed possessed included girls aged about four, six and 10 performing sexual acts with adult males.

However, when interviewed, Seed said most of the images were of girls aged 14 and 15 and he was desensitised to them.

There were other images recovered which were not indecent but were still of young girls, presumably taken from Instagram.

The court heard how Seed was also in possession of two videos he had created himself.

In one he filmed under a young woman's skirt on public transport in London and in the other he filmed a woman, who was wearing leggings, as she was walking.

Michael Whitty, defending Seed, of The Park, Hornsey, said Seed had been anxious about the court case but knew that he only had himself to blame.

The court heard how he felt he had let himself down and those closest to him, especially his parents.

Mr Whitty stressed that Seed complied with the investigation and admitted needing help because he did not wish to behave in that manner.

Sentencing, Judge Simon Berkson, made Seed subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 10 years.

He was sentenced to 18 months in custody.
