INTERNATIONAL artist Andrew Logan’s infamous Annual Grand Re-opening and Jewellery Extravaganza returns to his Museum of Sculpture at Berriew this ban holiday Sunday, August 25, at 6pm with special guest, influential and era-defining textile and fashion designer Celia Birtwell.

Each year, the Museum ceremoniously re-opens its doors, remembering the first time it did so in 1991.

The Jewellery Shows, part of this annual celebration, are key to Andrew’s portfolio of work, have inspired Comme des Garcons catwalk shows and been performed in Azerbaijan, Latvia, Russia, Liverpool and Berriew.

This year’s show is a tribute to the late, wonderful Andy D, who created the music for many of Andrew’s shows and died suddenly in late July.

Volunteer models dance interpretively to Andy’s specially created music adorned in Andrew’s jewellery in a jewellery performance you won’t forget in a hurry – all building to a glorious crescendo. Guaranteed smiles to give Andy D a show to be proud of.

Jewellery Show tickets are £6 and include a free drink. Advance tickets can be bought from the Andrew Logan website (http://andrew-logan.myshopify.com/collections/tickets-for-events), or in person at either the Museum or Bunners in eet in Montgomery.

The museum is open 12 to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays throughout August and September and by arrangement. For more information contact the Museum direct on 01686 640 689 or almos@andrewloganmuseum.org.
