Ken Sema has joined Udinese on a season-long loan, Watford have confirmed.

The Swedish winger joined the Hornets from Ostersunds in July last year and made 22 appearances in all competitions in his first season.

During that time, he scored just once, in a frantic 3-3 draw away at Bournemouth.

However, he was mainly limited to time on the bench and, with the arrival of Ismaila Sarr in the same position, the 25-year-old looked set to play a further-diminished role.

Udinese's technical director Pierpaolo Marino has praised Sema on the Italian club's website and described him as "remarkable."

"Sema is a quick and agile left-footer with a remarkable individual technique that can cover all the roles on the left wing well," he said.

"He is a player who, with his flexibility, will give Mr. Tudor (Igor) a lot of possibilities of choice."
