AFTER a washout August, forecasters have finally delivered some good news for this August bank holiday weekend.

And if you're making the trip to Wembley for the Challenge Cup Final, don't forget to pack your suncream.

The current forecast is for highs of 26 degrees in time for the game kicking off with forecasters warning it will feel more like 30 degrees throughout the game.

A Met Office spokesman added: "Temperatures will generally be above average across the south.

"It will stay dry on Friday and Saturday with further sunshine and becoming warm with winds staying light."

For those that are staying at home or heading to Creamfields this weekend it's a similar picture but temperatures will hit 24 degrees.

Winds are expecting to ease through Friday which will be a drier and warmer day with lengthy sunny spells developing.

Saturday is expected to be fine and warm with further spells of sunshine with the same currently expected on Sunday and Monday.
