A CYCLIST has collided with an ambulance this afternoon, Monday, smashing the vehicle's windscreen.
At 12.08pm, police received reports of a male cyclist colliding with an ambulance in Latchford on Kingsway South.
Eyewitness reports stated that the cyclist got to his feet but was taken to Aintree Hospital.
He is not believed to have any serious injuries.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) said: “At around 12pm this afternoon, an ambulance was involved in a low-speed collision with a cyclist on Kingsway, Warrington.
"A man in his late 20s was taken to hospital as a precaution.
"There were no injuries to the ambulance crew.
"We are working with the police to determine the cause of the accident and we wish the patient a speedy recovery."
