NORTHWICH'S Matalan has a fresh new look after undergoing a major refurbishment throughout the store.

The store now has new lighting, flooring and a revamped customer service area, while there is also a new market place which has been designed to highlight key ranges.

Elsewhere there’s enhanced departments across homeware and lingerie, a Card Factory concession and a section dedicated to Totally Toys which features characters from popular suppliers such as Paw Patrol and Hatchimals.

Matalan’s retail director Mike Jeans has explained why the redevelopment has taken place at the Northwich store.

“Over the last three years Matalan has been investing in its estate in order to improve the store environment and all-important customer shopping experience,” said Mike.

“Northwich is one of the stores included in that program and has received a full update. This update includes everything from a more modern look and feel and a new customer service area, to a new store layout with a bigger and better homeware department.”

Mike then went on to outline how the work carried out will benefit shoppers at their Northwich unit.

He added: “We have listened to our customers and modernised the look and feel of our Northwich store, as well as improving the layout and flow. We wanted to achieve a customer centric environment with improved ranges, making it easier for customers to shop the store and access our exciting new ranges.

“We have implemented all of the things we know will make shopping our Matalan Northwich store even more enjoyable, so there are lots of reasons to come and take a look. While we have changed and improved a lot at the Northwich store, one thing has remained – our passion to deliver amazing quality clothing and homeware for the lowest price.”

Northwich BID manager Jane Hough is impressed with the re-fit and has seen a lot of positive reaction.

Jane said: “The refurbishment is very impressive and has definitely improved the visitor experience when shopping at Northwich Matalan.

“We’ve seen lots of positive comments on our social media channels to this effect with people praising the new layout and expanded ranges. It’s great to see a major national retailer investing further in the town which helps continue to strengthen the town’s retail offering.”
