SEVEN new homes are to be built in Great Sankey after planning permission was granted by Warrington Borough Council.

The 0.6-acre site on Burtonwood Road is currently occupied by an existing bungalow, but this will be demolished to make way for the new builds.

Plans state that five two-bedroom detached bungalows will be constructed as well as two three-bedroom semi-detached bungalows.

Developer Cleary Homes state that it intends to put the land to a more ‘appropriate and productive’ use, which will increase the market variety in the area.

The dwellings will be of a traditional design and will also take inspiration from the neighbouring Chapelford area, particularly those on Chicago Place.

At the back of the properties will be fully turfed gardens with small patio areas, and any existing vegetation suitable for retention in the back garden will be retained.

The front of the dwellings will display a mixture of hard and soft landscaping with permeable driveways, turfed gardens and some small low maintenance planting.

Properties will have access to 14 car parking spaces in total.

Cleary Homes also add that the neighbouring community is ‘unlikely’ to be affected by an increase in vehicles during and after construction and due care will be taken to avoid noise impacts.
