ACTON Lane off the A49 Warrington Road in Acton Bridge will be closed for one nights followed by one day this week.
The road will be closed on Thursday night through to Friday morning this week from 7pm to 6am to allow Cheshire West and Chester Council to carry out preparation work to the carriageway ahead of treatment works.
The closure will be between the junction with Warrington Road and Strawberry Lane.
The same stretch of the road will be closed once again throughout the day on Saturday for the council to carry out the treatment work on the carriageway.
A public notice issued by the council states: “A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use alternative routes.”
A diversion route will be put in place using Hill Top Road, Station Road and Sandy Lane.
