WARRINGTON North MP Helen Jones is the longest serving continuous member of parliament in Warrington’s history.
First elected during the New Labour days of Tony Blair in 1997, she reached 8,131 days on Monday.
In second place is Gilbert Greenall (Conservative for Warrington constituency from August 26,1847 to December 7, 1868) with 7,774 days.
In third is Thomas Williams (Labour for Warrington constituency from 20 April 1961 to 16 July 1981) with 7,392.
Mrs Jones’ predecessor Doug Hoyle reached 5,768 days.
